Freyja started in the SMG Sheringham office in October 2015 having been studying architecture at the University of Kent for three years. Throughout the degree topics such as sustainable design and chiaroscuro (how light and dark affects atmosphere in a building) have inspired her to pursue architecture.
While working at SMG Freyja has developed her skills in AutoCad, ArchiCad and SketchUp and has acquired the ability to produce measured and level surveys. Her first project proposal seeks to enable minor internal alterations and a roof top balcony to capitalise on sea views. The existing dwelling is of brick and flint with the proposed design to be of timber decking with a glass balustrade.
