Neptune House, Stiffkey

Neptune House was a dilapidated property in the heart of the conservation area within Stiffkey. Its location within an AONB with the rear most part of the site touching the River Stiffkey, motivated the clients to want to make the most of the landscape the dwelling lay within. The creation of a contemporary rear extension and full renovation allows the building to guide your eye towards the scenery while maintaining a sympathetic connection to the environment.

The design combined the new kitchen, dining and lounge area on the ground floor where the latter is located within the new extension benefitting from sizeable openings towards the Large Valleys AONB. In the first floor, from the landing space the clients have the option to step out on a new balcony, which create a mesmerising outdoor living space second to none.
