Community

Community projects are often the most rewarding. Being able to provide, or improve, a facility which everyone can benefit from gives us a responsibility to consider the users experience and a journey through the building. Given these spaces will often be used by many people new to the building, such as village halls, we carefully consider the areas for greeting, information and facilities ensuring an enjoyable experience for all those using the building. We have been honoured to work on many churches throughout East Anglia including both the Lighthouse church and Salvation Army church in Sheringham. As well as these we have helped North Norfolk District Council implement a programme of public conveniences creating accessible and diverse spaces which has resulted in SMG Architects being awarded the prestigious “Loo of the Year”.
